25 years of experience to my cadre in the culinary field. I started my cooking journey from India travelled to Korea, Japan, the Middle east and finally the United Kingdom. My journey through this culinary path has confirmed to me that good food is the shortest way to a persons heart. I have worked in a Michelin star and Rosette hotels, gained and implemented a lot of my knowledge into the food that I prepared for the esteemed guests. Started as a kitchen assistant and rose to the level of Group head Chef heading a Chain of hotels. Having the experience in catering to all kinds of guests from the buffet to fine dining. Also having sound knowledge in English, Italian, French, Mexican, Thai, Indian & far Eastern cuisine.

3 generations experience with family run restaurants and clubs running to a total of 100 plus years. I’ve worked and toiled in my father’s business learning and gaining experience in all aspects of the restaurant. I have a hunger to learn more, which made me go in for a much more professional expertise. I earned my degree in hotel & catering management wherein I specialised in Italian cuisine. To get first-hand experience I went on to work in many places around the world.  Allowing me to pick up a lot on my travels to far east, middle east, Europe, the Caribbean and the USA . I have also had the opportunity to work with Michael Roux recipes while working for celebrity cruise lines, also was fortunate enough to work with Disney in Orlando, Florida which helped me to venture more into the cuisines of the world especially working with multi-national colleagues. I then moved onto the UK and gained more insight with regards to British food.

Located in Clacton on sea on the high street, the aim of 9 flags is to bring the world cuisine to your doorstep. We will introduce you to a blend of Aroma and Flavours which will tickle your taste buds. We will try to put in dishes from round the globe which are popular here in the UK so that you can have a choice of various cuisines all under one roof. We will be serving food from the likes of England, India, Korea, China, Mexico, America, Vietnam, Thailand and Europe.

Freshly home-made marinades and seasonings drizzled and sizzled on the dishes will take you on a journey around the world. Perfect amount of flavours blended by the hands of our culinary chefs is an experience you must try. Using our plates as a canvas with the best and freshest ingredients should keep you coming back.
